Five Barrel Brewing Extension Double IPA

A bold step up in intensity, Extension Double IPA is Five Barrel’s take on the classic DIPA style – big, bright, and beautifully balanced. Pouring a pale gold with a bright white head, it launches into citrus and pine on the nose, setting you up for a punch of grapefruit, tangerine and tropical mango on the palate. A sturdy malt backbone provides just enough sweetness to keep everything in check, finishing medium-dry with a lingering hop snap. Hopped to the heavens with a mix of American and Aussie favourites, it’s a double that doesn’t overdo it.
